About The Joliet Mud
Turtles
Welcome to
the Joliet Mud Turtles Off-Road Club's website. We are a
group of individuals dedicated to off-roading. Our vehicles
vary from trucks used to get back and forth to work to
dedicated four wheeling machines capable of going just about
anywhere.
We have regularly
scheduled outings to places like "The Cliffs Insane Off-Road
Park" in Marseillies, IL and "The Badlands" in Attica, IN.
Times and dates for the outings are determined at the
meetings.
The club has one
major fundraiser - Mud Blast. Mud Blast is a club operated
event that is part of the City of Joliet Father's Day Route
66 Car Show Festival at the Billie Limacher Bicentennial
Park.
The club has adopted
the "The Cliffs" as our home park. The park has been open
to club outings, club night rides, and has allowed members
to camp at no extra cost. In return the club participates
in scheduled work days at the park. Work day activities
include fence repair, running new fence line, trail
maintenance, and recovering stuck customers.
